[Bug 34330] images don't get thumbnailed on live CD

I've encountered this as well (Flight 5). When I did an install of
Flight 5 the thumbnails _did_ appear.

On the Live CD I changed the nautilus settings to allow making
thumbnails on remote file systems, and then they appeared.

So for some reason nautilus on the Live CD seems to think that
/usr/share/... is remote, at least when accessed through the symlink. I
didn't try browsing there directly in the filesystem.
