I whink I may be hit by the same bug. I am using x86 though. GTK+
2.8.16-1ubuntu1. gdmsetup startup fails with the following error:

$ sudo gdmsetup
GTK Accessibility Module initialized
Command failed, no data returned
  Trying failed command again.  Try 2 of 5.
Segmentation fault

If you think this may be a seperate issue I am sorry and will gladly
open a new bug, providing a backtrace or what else is needed for you to
fix this.
