Dapper Drake with whatever Gnome-bits it comes with. Daily update.
Machine is a 2 Ghz P4 notebook with 768 MiB RAM and 5400 RPM harddrive.

But those bookmarks, yeah... I have (had) some NFS-mounted bookmarks
which might well be part of the problem. Removing them does speed up
things quite a bit. I'll do some more experimenting.
