Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/36056
Affects: meta-gnome2 gnome (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
When I log out of gnome the whole logging out procedure takes
a very long time. When shortcutting this with control-alt-backspace and looking a the running processes I see that gnome-panel still runs. Even when X has died.
When trying to login again, gnome complains that it cannot start a new
panel and basicly leaves you with an unuseable desktop. Logging out
again and killing gnome-panel makes this of course all go away...
