the logo ressource issue is what the new gdkpixbuf component should fix and it works fine for me ... maybe you guys face a different issue

Do you get the crash if you start with a movie argument (so it doesn't use the logo)? Does it happen if you reduce the window (you can run it on a movie, change it, close and open without argument to try that)?
