[Bug 35834] gnome Trash reflects status of .Trash on usb stick

following updates on march 27 including hal, hal-device-manager, udev, my trash now seems to be behaving normally.

Trash is maybe unnecessary on usb sticks.  Instead could we get a "there is no trash, confirm irreversible deletion - cancel/OK" dialog ?
