It's happened with every PDF, from various sources. Evince 0.4.0, poppler 0.4.2 (splash). I thought it might be related to UIM+anthy, which was causing various other applications to crash--including gpdf--but after uninstalling UIM, all of those other flaws disappeared.

Additionally, only the page with the selected text has redraw problems; other pages draw fine.
