I changed the line to a maximum history of 1000.

Everything seems to work fine, but I only entered +/- 50 items. I will come back to this if I see any problems.

However, I get the impression that the dropdown menu of the deskbar applet (left click the magnifying glass) wants to be as long as the maximum history, which means the list hits the bottom of the screen, and who knows how much longer it really is (if that's possible).

Can the lenght of that list be limited independently of the maximum history?
