I dont think that another theme should be shipped - choice is great, but the the main aspect of default is that you cant choose.

And  if you think of a user which is able to go to the preferences and switch back to classic, you can also say that he will be able to do the last step of going to art.gnome.org or something to get the theme he likes.

so putting ubuntu-classic there or in the repositories should be enough IMO.
