Running "gthumb" or "gthumb --import-photos" from the terminal gives no output whatsoever. Looking through the man pages and the docs revealed no debug-like switches to enable any extra output or logging.

I think this may actually now be a gphoto2 bug, as I can't list any files on the device with any regularity using "gphoto2 -L" either.
