i have seen this, i had the examples/oo-introducing-ubuntu.odt in my recent docs, and it would not open, same error message. but other oo docs would. i cleared the recent docs, and it it seems to work ok. -- Open Office Documents in "Recent Documents" Menu do not work https://launchpad.net/bugs/43226
