I think I have the same behaviour on a amilo m1450g.
The live CD of beta1, beta2 and flight7 freezes when it is up to launch gnome. 
I have no error meesage and the keyboard seems to be locked. it needs a hard reset ??

seemed to me a major problem. I can boot from the live CD oncre i tried the safe graphic mode ???
