Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
It would make things a lot friendlier to people coming over from the Mac
if dragging removable volumes like CDs, pen drives, and IPods caused
them to eject.
Currently there is no way to indicate to the user how to eject devices.
Even Windows is better about this from a usability standpoint (an icon
appears in the system tray and there's a notification bubble explaining
to click it when you want to eject when you plug in a pen drive).
Nautilus has no toolbar option for eject either. Only if the user thinks
to right click the device to get more options will they find the ability
to eject.
This would be a nice intuitive alternative that can probably be
implented easily without needing to add any new wizards, etc.
** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
