Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Using GNOME, go to System->Administration->Shared Folders (enter admin
password).
Press +ADD and go to Path: and select "Other..." and browse to ~/
(homefolder),create a folder namned "Shared" through the Filebrowser
window that is now opened.
This is where the problem is, the filebrowser is running as root due to using sudo when starting "Shared Folders"
and the folder namned "Shared" will be created with root:root as owner.
This is more of a usability bug than a real bug,
to bypass it just create the "Shared" folder with nautilus instead of the filebrowser but this isn't always so obvius to a new user.
I should say that im not 100% sure this is nautilus but i couldn't find
which package handles System-Administration-Shared Folders
** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
