hm works fine for me...
could you try to reproduce the problem with
GST_DEBUG=3 GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///path/to/broken/file &> gst.log

and attach the gst.log to this bugreport?

Otherwise "GST_DEBUG=3 GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 totem" would be fine too
