[Bug 45778] Nautilus does not recognize my dialup connection

Nautilus won't let me browse remote ftp sites, even though I am
connected   to the internet. I have tried a variety of ftp sites, but to
no avail. All other internet connectivity on my system works fine.

I connect to the internet using a standard serial modem and the wvdial
PPP dialer.
