[Bug 34435] Re: Cairo and ATI RENDER extension cause scrambled buttons in UbuntuLooks

I have the issue as presented above with a Radeon Mobility 9000 (M9) on
a Toshiba Tecra S1, using the "radeon" driver.

Here are two additional screenshots :

The artifacts disappear after hovering the mouse pointer above the
offending widgets (in my case, buttons and scrollbars).

It's even worse when using EXA acceleration :

Note in the last screenshot that the "shiny" effects on the buttons and
the progressbars are missing. Hovering the mouse over the widgets
doesn't change anything.

Disabling RenderAccel fixes the issue completely, at the expense of slow
rendering. It only occurs with the ubuntulooks theme coming with Dapper.
