Sebastien: please forget the preview pane. I don't use it. I use only
two columns: folder tree  view (on the left) and message list on the
right.

I prefer to open each mail I want to see instead of having it previewed
(which really slows things down).

The problem is that the message list view is TOO BIG and can't be
reduced. The whole window doesn't fit properly under 1024x768.

I used to have the folder view a bit larger in order to view the
complete mail folder names and how many unread message are in them. It
is no longer possible to do so since the whole window doesn't fit.
