[Bug 71608] Sound Preference "Music and Movies" is not used (rb, totem)

I've got a laptop with an internal audio card and another external USB audio card.
By default every generated sound is played through the internal audio card.

But I want totem and rhythmbox to play through the external USB audio card.
In "Preferences -> Sound" I saw an option that described itself exactly as what I was looking for. Great! So I set:

Music and Movies: Sound playback: USB Audio.

Even after a reboot, the music from totem and rhythmbox still plays
through the internal audio card.

A fix for now is using USB Audio for Sound Events as well, this makes
rhythmbox and totem use the USB soundcard, but unfortunately, every
sound plays through the USB audio card as well.
