[Bug 73414] notification area plugin is not working

Public bug reported:

edit->preferences->scripts and plugins->Notification is not working.

Double clicking on the plugin gives the error:
An error occurred unloading /usr/lib/xchat-gnome/plugins/notification.so
and crashes xchat-gnome with no ouput.
