Fixed with that upload:

 gaim (1:2.0.0+beta5-3ubuntu2) feisty; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/control.in:
     - gaim-data Depends on ${python:Depends}
   * debian/gaim-data.install:
     - install the gconf schemas and the gaim-remote python script
       (Ubuntu: #69465)
   * debian/rules:
     - use gnome.mk to get dh_gconf called
