[Bug 73657] Google Talk doesn't connect, crashes Gaim

Public bug reported:

This occurs in both v1.5.0 and v2 of Gaim, and has been happening for a
couple months. When an attempt is made to connect to the Google Talk
network, Gaim crashes after a couple minutes of unsuccessful
"connecting" status.
