same problem here, it happened after dist upgrade today. i think crash doesn't happen for newly created "desktop user", but it happens for users with administrator rights. this is not 100% sure, have to investigate it. -- nautilus crashed when i logon gnome in edgy https://launchpad.net/bugs/62739
