Thanks for the patch. Fixed with this upload:

 gcalctool (5.8.24-0ubuntu2) edgy; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/control.in, debian/gcalctool-gtk.menu, debian/rules:
     - build a gcalctool-gtk package (Ubuntu: #64835),
       patch by Gauvain Pocentek <gauvainpocentek at ubuntu.com>
   * debian/control.in:
     - dropped Conflitcs,Replaces on old gnome-utils package
   * debian/rules:
     - don't replace configure arguments, add them rather
     - use extra configure flags for the GTK build too
