[Bug 65574] [edgy] middle clicking doesn't close menu

Public bug reported:

Clicking the middle mouse button outside of an open panel menu
(Applications/Places/System) doesn't close the menu, unlike with the
left and right mouse buttons.

Steps to reproduce:

(1) Left-click on "Applications"
(2) Middle click on the desktop or on another application.

** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
