Can you try patching with the attached diff please?

* Download to /tmp
* run the following to apply the patch:

cd /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/Alacarte
sudo cp MainWindow.py MainWindow.py.OLD
sudo patch < /tmp/alacarte_MainWindow.py_dragndropfix20061014.diff

Try again.  Does that fix the problem?
