  I upgraded from dapper to edgy and most everything seems to work but the
  menus are barely lit as i move the mouse over the options.

+ whoops upgrade wasn't complete locales were broken... they seem to break everytime i do a dist upgrade. Another bug in itself. anyways maybe someone could remove this bug...
