[Bug 24241] Re: gnome-nettool hangs when hostname resolution fails

I tried this by making my resolv.conf point at a non-existant machine
(eg 192.168.1.99 where no such machine is connected to the network).

nettool hung for a minute or so but then came back with an error saying
the address could not be resolved.
