do you still have that issue? could you try to "strace -p $(pidof nautilus)" and note what it's doing when that happens? What the backtrace get with "thread apply all bt", nautilus usually list several threads and you have only one to your comment -- Open With causes 100% CPU https://launchpad.net/bugs/58792
