[Bug 62282] words hilight doesn't work

Public bug reported:

Since my upgrade to Edgy, xchat-gnome doesn't hilight my nickname any
more when someone pings me.

I also tried with a list of words to hilight with the same problem.

After checking this with Sebastien Bacher, I discovered that it works
with LC_ALL=C so seems to be a locale problem with es_ES.UTF-8.
