Public bug reported:

By default, the Quit/Shutdown Panel Applet appears in the upper right
hand corner of the gnome panel, to the right of the date, and directly
above the "x" exit button of a maximized window. I have found that the
proximity of the Quit Applet to the "x" exit button will result in a
misclick onto the Quit Applet, causing confusion to users who are not
linux-savvy when the logout screen pops up.

I believe that it is more intuitive to place the quit applet on the
lower righthand corner, to the right of the workplace switcher and the
trash. A space of 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch to each side would insure less
misclicks on the trash or workspace 4.

** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Wishlist
         Status: Unconfirmed
