Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use. Could you get a backtrace from nautilus with libgnomevfs2-0-dbg and nautilus-dbg installed when that happens? What do you do to get the issue?
To get the backtrace, when nautilus hangs, do from a command line:
- gdb -p $(pidof nautilus)
(gdb) thread apply all bt

and copy that to a comment

That's like the same issue than bug #54684
