hello,

I get the same problem.
I have a DVD rewriter Plextor PX-716A, and while i put any DVD in it, it's detected like a blank DVD.
I can read them only if I insert a CD before.
Burning don't work at all.

dmesg report it :
"cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize!"

Result of cdcaps.py :

got disc status: 0

I can give an ssh login for debug, just say me when
