The soundcard selector is an Ubuntu patch. Marking as a wishlist rather,
moving the selector on the first tab (which is new with edgy) of that
dialog would probably fix the space issue. It could be unsensitived too
if there is no other choide, changing the dialog widgets according to
the configuration might be confusing. Should be easy to change, marking
as an 'ubuntulove' task
