[Bug 83100] [apport] powerpc - mixer_applet2 crashed with SIGILL during Desktop init

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

Install herd3 on iMac G3/350 using the powerpc alternate cd.

The crash happens at the very first login.  A notification window
appears during Desktop initialization that says:

>> There was an error starting th Gnome Settings Daemon.
>> ...
>> The last message was:
>> Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)
>> ...

This is probably related to all the other mixer related bugs, but it presents differently,
and I haven't checked to see if any of the other bugs relate to the powerpc version.
