Thank you for the work on that. The screenshot utility is shipped with
gnome-utils, not gnome-panel. You can install gnome-utils-dbgsym,
instructions on how to do that and getting the backtrace are on
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash. On the gdb prompt after
the crash can you type "bt full" to get the backtrace? What version of
Ubuntu do you use? Do you run gnome-panel-screenshot with any option?
