[Bug 85831] battery not detected

Binary package hint: hal

MacBook Core2 Duo, Feisty up to date. 
Everything worked well till one of the update of february. since then (I think 0.5.8.1-4ubuntu5 or ubuntu6) my battery is not detected anymore. 
hal-device does not show any battery and gnome-power-manager does not offer any tab related to "On battery power" nor older options work (when i close the laptop, the screen remains active while originally it went to blank-screen. 

I do not know for sure if this is a hal problem, but after some
investigation I think it is possible.

Let me know if you need further informations about hardware or feisty
configuration.
