[Bug 85919] maximising "difficult" at 1024x768

I wasn't able to maximise the window - width was too big, but the window didn't even maximise vertically.
Only after removing the sidebar, changing from my collection to radio, removing the browser, then adding everything again and returning to my collection (perhaps not exactly in that order), am I now able to maximise the window with all elements in it.
In the radio view I may have been able to maximise the window (less contents).
