Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn installed
Nautilus version 2.17.91

Problem occurs on a shared external USB drive formatted as FAT32 plugged
to a Maxtor Shared Storage NAS.

Steps to reproduce.

1. Open up a FAT32 based samba share in nautilus using smb://computer/share (works ok if the share is mounted)
2. Create a new file called 'test.txt'
3. Press F2 and rename it 'Test.txt'
4. An error dialog pops up saying 'The item could not be renamed. The name "Test.txt" is already used in this folder. Please use a different name.'
5. Click OK and the file 'test.txt' has disappeared, although the window doesn't automatically refresh.

Tried same thing on a different machine with Gentoo installed (Gnome
2.16.2/Nautilus 2.16.3) and the file remains.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
