Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: metacity

Every time I log out of Gnome when running (for example) Firefox,
Metacity pops up a blocking dialog stating that "the following
applications" do not allow for saving of status, or some wording to
that.

This is fine & dandy some of the times, but certainly gets to be:

(a) rather frustrating after a while: I already know that Firefox,
xchat, and whatelse do not allow for saving data for autorestart, and
still I have to answer the dialog for the quit/shutdown to complete;

(b) time wasting: some times -- at least in my case -- I am logging out
of a series of systems, fully embedded in the quite famous end-of-day-I
-am-bugging-out state of mind (which is to say, you start the
logoff/poweroff on all systems, and get a quick one at the loo to
prepare for the ride home). Then... I get back to see my laptop holding
on the Metacity dialog... and I have to answer the bloody thing to get
the laptop to power off.

This is probably a wishlist thingy: Metacity should allow for either
this dialog to be disabled, or for selected applications to be taken off
consideration.
