Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gimp
Using Feisty Herd 2 x86_64, dist-upgraded just before I started gimp
(17:00 UTC)
Every time I start the GIMP I can see lots of "Sorry, the program
"whirlpinch.py" closed unexpectedly." (same message about 20-30 times,
every time different script names)
Starting the GIMP in a terminal I get:
--snip--
(gimp:13623): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: gimp: wire_read(): error
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/shadow_bevel.py", line 20, in <module>
from gimpfu import *
File "/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/python/gimpfu.py", line 65, in <module>
import gimp
ImportError: /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/python/gimpmodule.so: undefined symbol: Py_InitModule4
--snip--
Same message again about 20-30 times, with different script names and
different lines, but only for the first script ('File
"/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/python/gimpfu.py", line 65, in <module>' stays all
the time).
In gimp itself I have no "Python-fu" menu as I had in edgy
** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
