** Attachment added: "One of the recent crashes after a connection failure."

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: gaim

  Greetings
- I'm using gaim (1:2.0.0+beta3.1-1ubuntu) and it was working perfectly until two nights ago, when I attempted to establish a Direct IM to someone and send an image. It crashed after locking up for two minutes, and now will not connect to the AIM network--but it still connects using all of the other protocols, just not AIM/ICQ. I've tried reinstalling/complete removal, new accounts, and nothing works. It's not a problem with the screen names, as I've successfully used meebo.com since the time of the crash. Connection info is: login.oscar.aol.com / 5190 / ISO-8859-1 / use AIM/ICQ proxy server / no proxy. The program now simply does not make it past the "Connecting" phase. If I let it try to connect to the AIM network long enough, it sometimes crashes.
