[Bug 89247] sound volume keys do not work if brightness-slider is dropped down

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

If the brightness-applet is open and dropped down, then pressing the
sound volume keys does not produce any action or show the head-up
display normally found in the centre of the screen.

When the applet is unclicked, then the volume keys operate as expected.
