Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
The Rhythmbox 0.9.8-0ubuntu2 package does not declare its requirement
for libsoup2.2-8 2.2.99 properly.
I am running edgy and using prevu I backported Rhythmbox. It failed the
first time due to an unmet libgpod dependency, so I backported that.
Then the Rhythmbox backport completed and installed correctly.
Rhythmbox seems to work correctly, but when I try to connect to my mt-
daapd (DAAP server, same as Rhythmbox's sharing) shared media it fails.
This is due to an old version of libsoup. Once libsoup is backported
from edgy everything works great.
Rhythmbox 0.9.8-0ubuntu2 should declare a dependency on libsoup2.2-8
2.2.99 or greater so that you cannot install or backport it without
libsoup.
I'm sure this is not a huge issue when looking at the whole distro, but
it is inconsistent for this package and should be fixed.

/rhythmbox-devel/2007-February/msg00001.html
** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
