Would you mind providing a few more details:
- Which version of Ubuntu you are using
- Describe whether this is an intermittent problem you experience or is it something you can reproduce on-demand.
- Describe the manufacturer and model of system you have
- Upload the output you get for
 $ sudo lspci -vvn 
and 
 $ sudo dmidecode
