Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I can't say how exactly to reproduce this bug, I can only describe my
configuration:
- nvidia driver: NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9746-pkg1.run (downloaded from nvidia directly)
- Ubuntu Dapper
- a twinview setup, I'll see if I can attach my xorg.conf in this bug report
Now my problem is: Sometimes I switch configurations, going back to
single monitor, since I don't always have a second monitor at my
disposition. Then obviously the panel gets confused, because locations
don't exist anymore - and I haven't found out yet how exactly locations
on the screen are being named. When I have the panel on my laptop
(=first) screen during twinview setup and I switch to single view setup
the panel doesn't show anymore or in a different place.
Additionally, most of the time I have the effect that the panel does
show but cannot be resized or moved anymore, like right now. I will
attach a screenshot.
Where/how can I look up gnome-panel errors/loggin!? I could make a gdb
printout, I guess.
** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
