I'm seeing this in feisty (Nautilus 2.18.0.1) - folders are shown with the open icon even after they have been closed. This is for the duration of the session and is consistent across the desktop, spatial and browser windows. -- closed folder keeps being displayed as open https://launchpad.net/bugs/51670
