[Bug 94953] power button opens two dialogs, consecutively

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

whilst logged in, when I hit the power button I get the usual "Logout,
Lock, Switch, Suspend..." dialog.  If I click cancel it disappears and
then a duplicate dialog fades in again.  This happens *every* time I hit
the power button.

This is in Feisty synced with the current repository.  I didn't
experience this problem in Breezy, Dapper or Edgy.

I'm on a Sony Vaio VGN-A397XP.
