[Bug 95121] Wrong calendar applet behaviour in vertical panels after upgrading to Feisty [regression]

Calendar applet is not displayed correctly if panel is put vertically
(see screenshot).

If the panel is on the left, time is OK but date is incorrect, if the
panel is on the left, date is OK but not time.

Notice that it was perfect in Edgy, and I noticed this bug both in a 64
bit install and in a 32 bit liveCD.
