Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

If I adjust the volume by left-clicking the icon and dragging the slider
up or down, the volume doesn't change. When right-clicking the icon and
selecting "open volume control", I see a number of sliders. The slider
"PCM" is effective, but the slider "Master" not.

If I right-click the volume-control icon and then select Preferences, I
can't select the PCM-slider as default (it is not in the list).
